June 5th Announcement

SAMHA and OMAHA are happy to announce that Liam O’Brien has been selected to coach the U13 Tier 1 Regional team hosted in Salmon Arm.  This team will consist of players from Chase, North Okanagan, Revelstoke, Salmon Arm and Sicamous.  Tryout camp will be held August 19 & 20 in Salmon Arm.

We will be hosting a parent informational meeting over Google Meet on June 13th at 8PM – https://meet.google.com/ezb-bbyp-map

Registration

  • All players must be registered with their home Association prior to tryouts.
  • Please download and fill out this form and send it into saminorhockey@shaw.ca to participate in tryouts.
  • Tryout Fee is $150 and the e-transfer address is bookkeeper@salmonarmminorhockey.com Please send on the SAME DAY as the permission to tryout form.
  • Once tryout fee is received and form is signed off, SAMHA will forward you medical information form that must be filled out asap. Send to saminorhockey@shaw.ca  It will not be acceptable to bring in when tryouts start.
  • Tryout dates will be Aug. 19/20. Further information on times and groups will be announced by Head Coach.

OMAHA has announced a new Regional U13 Program.  Salmon Arm has been chosen as one of the host Associations for this program.  Our draw area will consist of Chase, Salmon Arm, Sicamous, Revelstoke and North Okanagan.  Practice ice will be allocated based on the make up of the team but Sicamous Arena has been identified as a potential landing spot for this team.

There will be no releases at this camp and formal tryouts will start mid to late August.  This camp will give players an opportunity to see the level of play, learn about the program and meet the coaching staff.  There will be a parent meeting on the weekend of this camp for parents to ask any questions they may have.
